Top Tips

We hate to break it to you, but...

All tops scratch. That's the fact. What's worse, it is probably your fault.

Regular use of anything you own generally result in scratches and scuffs, sometimes cracks and chips. It is, however, to be expected. Over time, with regular use, materials will fade in light, wear under abrasions, and scratch from use. The more careful you are, the better the product will look in the future. We have seen tops that our founder, Chuck, put in 40 years ago that look only a few years old (except, of course, for the color - ouch!).

For those customers who have chosen solid surface as their countertop material, repairs or resanding are mostly a simple affair. As long as you have made sure that whoever made your top left you a spare color-matched piece, even difficult repairs can be made fairly easily. Resanding tops is a dusty affair, and can be done with little prep, or much prep (and more cost). The final result, of course, makes it worthwhile. Call us for details. You paid good money for your solid surface top. You should be able to take advantage of all you paid for.
